i don't think i have ever seen the game show name that tune but i'm not sure.

The versions I remember Charro Greg, were on NBC daytime from July 1974,when it replaced Dinah's Place at 10am ET/9 am CT and PT (MT determined locally) opposite The Joker's Wild on CBS and that move sent miss Dinah into syndication for a new talks how in the fall of 1974 called Dinah! which alsted 6 years on local stations. Dennis James , who was doing nighttime Price Is Right at the time hosted here. This version only played until January 1975 , but spawned the more successful nighttime version with Tom Kennedy from 9/1974-9/1981. Another day version aird on NBC from January -June 1977 and another syndicated version was done by Jim Lange in 1984-85.
Greg , Geoff and the rest of you, I wish GSN would air Name That Tune. But they can not due to fees for playing songs on there. The same sadly applies to reruns of The Gong Show that GSN played for several years,but is not on currently, as well as those of the sitcom WKRP In Cincinnati that ran on CBS from 1978-82. That is why TV Land or any other network or station can't play WKRP is because of exorbinant fees for playing songs on there. I hope something changes in which these three shows can be seen again.
