I have been a big fan of all versions of Match Game, except Mike Berger's 1998 one that aired nationally over WGN Superstation. It just wasn't funny, let alone having Vicki Lawrence on the panel, but no, there wasn't Brett, Charles or Betty on the panel among others. I like Rayburn and Shafer's versions better.
Let me know your memories of this funny show and all it's versions, including The Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour.

All the panelists on MG were funny, Richard, Brett,Charles, Betty, Fannie as well as Bill Daily who also played Major Healey on I Dream Of Jeannie and Howard Borden on The Bob Newhart Show, Marcia Wallace who was also on Bob Newhart and is now Mrs. Krabapple, Bart's teacher on The Simpsons and thingy Martin of Laugh-In fame among others.
I also liked it when Nipsey Russell guested often on MG, and also Bob Barker making crossover appearances from The Price Is Right and Bert Convy from Tattletales, as well as Allen Ludden when he did Password on ABC and later Password Plus on NBC. His last MG appearance was in 1980 before he had that stroke and a year before he died.

There is a downloadable version of the Gene Rayburn MG at the BASICGames website. Just go to basicgames.folff.com to download MG and other games. Be sure to use a zip tool like Win Zip and remember BASIC does NOT work on Mac, unless you have the newer models with Windows built right in. You can make your own MG panel. Besides Brett, Charles, Richard and Betty , I have used today's stars like Pat Sajak, Vanna White, Alex Trebek plus cast members from shows liek American Idol, CSI, Law & Order and yes, even SpongeBob Squarepants. Download MG ! And get ready to match the stars!

Greg,er, Rainbow , all you have to do is match as many stars as you can , in my case i get 3 chances and then you go on to the Big Money SuperMatch which can pay off $5K ,which was the amount on CBS pre-Star Wheel , and $1)K when the Star Wheel was added in 1978 before Richard Dawson left, or $10K at night and by 1978 $20K on the Star Wheel.
You people in Atlanta got MG on Channel 5 WAGA until 1976 when it and Tattletales were replaced by Marcus Welby reruns . MG from CBS wouldn't return to Atlanta until the summer of 1978 when WATL TV 36 (now known as MY36 and owned by NBC station WXIA 11 Alive) added MG'78 on a tape delay at 5pm daily opposite newscasts on network stations and comedy reruns on 17 and 46 (now CBS station WGCL).
Match Game PM did air on WAGA as a consloation for those who didn't get the CBS daytime one , unless you also had WDEF TV 12 Chattanooga or WMAZ-TV 13 Macon, both CBS stations. MGPM later moved to WSB TV 2 before the change to ABC from NBC.
