How can you tell if a cowboy or cowgirl or cowkid is from the old west, any ideas?

There has to be a way to tell if they are from the old west in the 1700s. Any input?

There is no known way to tell if someone was born in the "old west". Besides, it's the 2000's already.

Besides, people who were born in the 1700's would have been around 300 years-old right now.
