Did the cowkids in the old west wear their boots all of the time, stepped in gum, any ideas? Just Curious.

They wore boots all the time except bathing and bedtime. And stepped in gum and other things as well.

From what I have read they only wore shoes and boots like to town and stuff the rest of the time they didn't wear shoes.

Why didn't they wear their boots all of the time because I'm sure the ground was very hot in the summer, any ideas?

You got to think alot of people back then were very poor and couldn't afford shoes for their kids.

What was the brand name of the boots for the cowkids that their parents can afford the boots for them or was there not any kind of brand names, any input? Just curious.

I was saying in general that most people didn't have the money for that kinda thing for their kids, they had alot of stuff they needed more than that.
